CHIMNEY MAINTENANCE Regular maintenance is essential for safety and longevity, especially with wood-burning appliances. Inspect annually, clean creosote/soot build-up when it reaches 6mm, and always use non-scratching brushes. Thorough cleaning is required within 48 hours after burning coal or anthracite at the end of the season.
