Home-Gro(TM) Gourmet Oyster Mushroom Kit

 

 

 

Home-Gro™ is a growing kit for producing your own oyster mushrooms at home. Simply activate by removing the perforated tab and making two small slits in the bag. Mist with water as often as you can. Twice a day is sufficient and you can even skip mistings. A small reusable and recyclable PET misting bottle is supplied with every box. 
 
The mushroom culture is laboratory formulated in an ISO certified facility by a professional microbiologist. It is arguably the highest quality spawn available in SA.
The growing medium is pasteurised cereal straw and contains no chemical additives, manure or any animal products.
This makes the mushrooms 100% suitable for vegetarian and vegan consumption.
 
With regards to our packaging, we have opted for a minimalist design with less than 10% ink coverage (non-toxic).
The kit as a whole is more than 90% bio-degradable and compostable. In order to retain the growing medium's moisture content, the inoculated straw is contained in a polyethylene bag which can be recycled with plastic food packaging.
 
The Home-Gro kit can also be used as a compost activator and to start a bigger grow operation.
Besides providing delicious mushrooms, the kit offers additional value as an educational, interactive and tactile experience. Watching these mushrooms grow at home is fun, bound to get your guests talking and makes for a great gift.
