HOMER COSTELLO (1892-1977):

Born in 1892 Homer Costello began art at an early age and progressed rapidly. He was best known for modern landscapes and mountainous vistas. He often painted using a thick impasto and palette knife to show the nuances in changes of light, shadow and foliage. He uusually chose to use board over canvas as the impasto endures better. Stylistically, he chose long and narrow over square. His works often have elements of both modern abstraction with classic impressionism.

39.8 cm x 23.8 cm excl frame.

Painting in excellent condition, frame shows some minor wear along the edges.
Would look stunning in a more modern frame.
