Thermostat Switch, Commercial, 2455R Series, 60 °C, Normally Open, Flange MountProduct OverviewThe 2455R-100-79 is a commercial Bimetal Thermostat with phenolic base andsilver alloy contact. It can provide either temperature control orover-temperature protection by breaking electrical contact when a specifiedtemperature is reached. Single pole, single throw, snap-acting, non-adjustablethermostat which may be used in applications such as power supplies, generalappliances and medical equipment. A temperature-sensitive bimetal disc,electrically and thermally isolated from the switch is used to actuate thenormally-closed contacts. Contacts open when surface or ambient temperaturesincrease to the operating set point of the calibrated bimetal disc. The entireswitch is enclosed in a phenolic housing, the bimetal disc is retained by ametal heat-conducting end cap.
