Hardcover fifth edition re-issue, published 1911 by Longmans, Green, and Co. The vinyl-like pebbled boards are square and solid, but with bumps to extremities, and are marked and worn in places. The top half of the spine label is missing. There are recent ownership stamps to the first end-paper and preface page, and three more to the external page edges. The preliminary and latter pages are lightly tanned, but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked.
