A study of the complex interrelated and interdependent urban qualities in Cape Town. Hardcover edition with cloth boards by David Dewar, Roelf Uytenbogaardt, et al, published as Project 1 by the Urban Problems Research Unit of the University of Cape Town, circa 1977. A report developed by the UPRU established at the University of Cape Town in 1975 in response to the critical shortage of homes in the Cape Peninsula. This report described the first of the six areas of investigation, namely Salt River/Woodstock; Harfield Road; Wynberg; Bonteheuwel; Hanover Park and Sun Valley. Illustrated throughout using plans, photographs and designs. 207 pages.  A fascinating time capsule portraying some of Cape Town's traditional Coloured areas, in very good condition.
