HOW NOT TO HUNT PIGS & OTHER CAUTIONARY TALES OF ROD AND GUN -

BRUCE TRUTER

1997. Hard cover with dust cover, 213 pages. Very good condition. Tightly bound. Name written in front. Small indentation on front page end , shows on the first 6 pages, Parcel under 1kg.

This mixed bag of stories from the pen of a true outdoorsman varies from the unrestrainedly  amusing such as the title story through the serious ,the authors concerns about wildlife and wilderness issues, and on the lyrical ,his keenly observed true life stories of adventurous times spent hiking, hunting ,fishing and camping in many parts of Southern Africa . All are told with the rare honesty and feeling only an old hand could muster. Bruce Truters laid back style ,wry sense of humour, and sharp observations will find favour with those who have been there and done it, as well as armchair adventurers , the city-bound who can only romanticize about spending quality time in bush. Anyway he trusts the stories will bring readers a breath from the veld and the fishing waters.
