HP NC6000 Laptop (Freeze problem)

Please take note: This laptop is not functioning properly, and I do not know what the problem is. When attempting to startup, the blue wifi light lights up, then nothing happens. If the blue light does not light up, the green power and keyboard lights work, and the laptop boots perfectly. When in Windows, it will freeze after a couple of minutes. Battery long enough for startup, but fails after a couple of minutes.
