Memory Not Installed

All 24 DIMM slots are empty. With both CPUs fitted the platform supports DDR4 ECC RDIMM (up to 64 GB per slot) and LRDIMM (up to 128 GB per slot) across 6 channels per CPU, for a maximum of 3 TB. This lets you buy only the RAM you actually need 64 GB, 256 GB, 768 GB, or a full load at current market prices rather than paying a premium for pre-fitted memory you may not want.

Storage 16 Hot-Plug SFF Bays (No Drives)

NVMe cage (Box 3) 8 bays, all blanked:
826689-B21 NVMe 8-SFF Express Bay Enablement Kit with the 4-port SlimSAS primary riser (867807-B21) cabled and fitted. Supports U.2 / U.3 PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSDs. All 8 bays currently empty with blanks. Drop in any standard HPE or compatible NVMe SFF drive.

SATA cage (Box 2) 8 bays, SATA only:
HPE 8SFF drive cage (871388-001) with backplane cabled to the system board. 2 smart carriers are fitted (no drives installed) and 6 bays are blanked. These 8 bays are controlled by the embedded HPE S100i Smart Array Controller and support SATA drives only in this configuration. SAS drives are not supported without an add-in SAS RAID controller (e.g. HPE Smart Array P408i-a or similar) installed in a PCIe slot no such controller is included with this server.

HPE S100i Smart Array Controller (embedded):
The S100i is HPE's embedded software RAID solution built into the DL380 Gen10 system board. It uses the host CPU and system RAM for RAID processing and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 across the 8 SATA bays suitable for OS drives, data volumes, and basic redundancy without any additional hardware cost. For SAS drive support or hardware RAID offload, an add-in Smart Array or MegaRAID PCIe controller is required.
