Porcupine Huernia - Huernia hystrix var. hystrix

One of the easiest Huernias to grow, very rewarding plants.

Flowers from January till May with very unusual and fascinating flowers.

The plant is mat-forming with short, stubby, spiky stems.

Cuttings can be taken throughout the summer months and root quite easily.

Likes to be watered regularly in summer, but keep on the dry side during the winter months.

 

Plants offered here are small clumps (as per photo above) and can be potted on arival into a 10 or 12cm. pot.
