This iCOM IC-R5 is an ultra compact, super wide band handheld communications receiver. At only 58 x 86 x 27mm and weighing only 145g (without 2 AA batteries), it easily fits in your pocket and is light weight enough to carry around when ever you're on the move. The IC-R5 supports both manual and automatic search functions with CTCSS/DTCS decode built-in. The built-in speaker is very loud and clear. Using the 3.5mm headphone jack you can listen with earphones/headphones or you could even connect a bigger, louder external speaker if needed. Use the device with 2 AA batteries, or even rechargeable batteries and charge them with the devices built-in battery charger using the supplied power supply. All buttons, ports, dials and accessories work without any issues.
