One button can perform two different tasks. On an IDS Onyyx system, you can configure short and long presses independently. For example, a short press could activate a doorbell or chime function, while a long press could trigger a panic alarm.

The button has different default behaviour on XSeries systems. When added to an IDS XSeries panel as an Xwave2 remote, the default short-press function is Arm/Disarm, while a long press triggers Panic. This makes it useful for installations requiring basic alarm control and emergency activation.

It can be adapted to suit how it will be used. The manufacturer's design allows the same wireless button to be wall-mounted or configured for pendant use. On an Onyyx system, the mounting configuration can also be selected in the app.
Compatibility & App Support
The IDS Xwave2 Wireless Button is designed for compatibility with IDS Onyyx and IDS XSeries alarm systems.
IDS Onyyx: The Onyyx app supports QR-code device enrolment, device naming, wall-mounted or pendant configuration, and the assignment of short-press and long-press functions. Available actions include panic, fire, medical, chime, relay and scenario control, subject to system configuration.
IDS XSeries: The button is enrolled as an Xwave2 remote transmitter. The documented default functions are Arm/Disarm for a short press and Panic for a long press.
A compatible IDS alarm system is required. This button is an accessory and does not operate as a complete standalone alarm system.
