| Ford | Meteor 1600 GLi | 1986-1989 | B6 | 78 kW |
| Ford | Bantam 1600i | 1994-2002 | B6 | 78 kW |
| Mazda | 323 1.6 SLE & EGI | 1985-1988 | B6 | 78 kW |
| Mazda | 323 160i Midge/ST | 1995-2003 | B6 | 78 kW |

| Mazda | Rustler 160i | 1994-2002 | B6 | 78 kW |
Engine code is the primary fitment determinant. Six of the seven supplied applications use the Mazda B6 1.6L petrol engine producing 78 kW. The Mazda 626 2.0 SL uses the FE 2.0L petrol engine producing 86 kW. The Ford Bantam 1600i and Mazda Rustler 160i share the same B6 platform; the Ford Laser 1600i Sport, Ford Meteor 1600 GLi, and Mazda 323 1.6 SLE/EGI / 323 160i Midge/ST are the passenger-car siblings of the same engine family. Confirm year of manufacture and engine code before ordering, as the same model name covered different engines in variants outside this listing.
This part is supplied for the applications listed above. Vehicle fitment can vary by build year, sub-model, and original specification. Before ordering, please verify your engine code (B6 or FE), year of first registration, and model variant against the fitment table. If you have any doubt, contact us with your vehicle registration number or VIN and we will confirm fitment for your specific car before dispatch.
The rotor sits on top of the distributor shaft inside the distributor cap. As the shaft turns, the rotor's metal contact arm transfers high-voltage current from the ignition coil to each spark plug terminal in firing order, completing the secondary ignition circuit on every cycle.
How do I confirm this rotor fits my vehicle?Match your engine code (B6 or FE) and year of manufacture against the fitment table above. If you are not sure, send us your vehicle registration number or VIN and we will check before you order.
Is the distributor cap included? No. This listing is for the distributor rotor only. If you need a matching distributor cap, please contact us with your vehicle details and we will source one.
Do I need a workshop to fit this?Distributor rotor replacement is a standard service item that most home mechanics with basic tools can do. If you are not familiar with ignition timing or have any concerns, fitment by a qualified workshop is recommended.
