This container, consisting of twin pots with lids in the Imari palette, seems on the large side for a cruet, so maybe its original purpose was for jam or marmalade. It only has a gilded hieroglyphic underneath of the decorator, but is undoubted British made - of the period leading up to WW2. It stands 11cm tall, and measures 13cm across at its widest. One of the lids has a chip on the inside of the rim. I have photographed this, so please study the pictures carefully. This apart, It is free of cracks, chips and restoration. Please add R45 for postage.
