The extremely large piece of mother of pearl shell. The silver mount is wonderful. There is a bail at the top that also has a marcasite like the ones surrounding the stone. At first glance, the silver work is so intricate and beautiful that it appears to be glittering paste or cut steel work but it is all the little marcasite.

The pendant measures 4.40 x 2.50cm
