THIS A STRIKINGLY BEAUTIFUL RED JASPER ROCK EGG. AROUND 6.5X5.0CM IN SIZE. Red jasper is a gemstone that is a type of quartz with a deep red color. Its brick-red color is due to iron inclusions in its crystalline structure. 
 
For centuries it has been celebrated as a talisman for magicians, scholars and scribes. It was the favored stone of warriors setting out into battle. According to Viking legend, Siegfried the Dragon Slayer had his magic sword inlaid with Red Jasper to give him the courage to destroy monsters. It is also said in the bible that this stone adorned the breastplate of Aaron, the first high priest.
