Methuen & Co. Ltd.  Lovely 1948 first edition.  Bibliography at back of book. Description:  It is in good condition throughout, without dust cover. Internally:  A good, complete and intact copy with 368 clean and well illustrated pages, a few old very small rustmarks of staplemarks in middle of a few pages.. A strong binding with clean white end papers, neatly gift message written on front page.   Externally:   Good beige cloth boards with a gilt motif of protea to the front and gilt titling  in a maroon panel to the spine. A good, first edition copy of this well known work which, should interest enthusiasts and collectors.
