Hendrik Christiaan (Hennie) Niemann (SA, 1941) was born in Bloemfontein and attended school and university there, where he qualified as a teacher.
He is currently regarded as the highest fetching living South African artist, with the possible exception of some of William Kentridge’s work. From an investment point of view, Niemann is very bankable. Some of his oil works have sold for over R145,000.
This piece is an original bistro drawing done on handmade paper. They currently tend to sell from R3,500 – R9,500 depending on the subject matter and size. We have decided to start the auction at around R3,000 without reserve to ensure that the buyer enjoys a good return!
