This Auction is for a Rare, Circa 1905, Real Tortoise Shell Vanity case. Regrettably this item has some damage to the lid, some chips to edge. The Hallmarked Silver Hinge has come away from the lid, can be restored. Hinge hallmarked London 1905 Makers LTGE. The lid clasp works and is also probably silver. The monogram initials on the lid are 9ct gold. Marked in gold on the underside, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths, regent Street London, would be worth a small fortune if intact? There are two vanity items missing, a scissor and nail file. The buffer, pill box and cuticle tool are present, but each has chips to the tortoise shell. Still an amazing item for the collector and fun to source the missing items and have item restored. Box Measures approximately 15.5 x 12 x 3.5 cm.
