Also inscribed "To Peg" , signed "Una"  and dated 1947 by author Una Long.  Tipped in is a  letter to the prevous owner referring to this book and to the long period before any attempt was made to update it was made (1947 - 1982). This letter is hand signed by the Cory Librarian J.M. Berning. In original mustard cloth board with black title to spine. Very good with some foxing on endpapers and some signs of repair to front and back board hinges. Text and leaves complete but pages 331 to 346 appear thicker than usual, as they were originally overprinted. 458 pages.
