20 indigenous Pineapple Flower (Eucomis autumnalis) bulbs for sale @ R160 for all. You get them for R8 each.

Minimum quantity per buyer is 5.  Buyers in South Africa only.

The plants are about 2 years old and will flower in 3 years time.

This is what they look like when mature:

Eucomis autumnalis is a beautiful indigenous summer growing bulb carrying inflorescences that look like pineflowers, hence the name.  It is suited to rockeries or in groups in the herbaceous border.  The inflorescence is a lovely cut flower and can be kept for up to a month in a vase.  Bulbs should be planted with their tops just below the soil. Use a well-drained well-composted soil. The bulb is decidouos, the aerial parts dying off in winter.

Note that the leaves may die off when planting out in the garden. It is recommended that the plants be kept in the container until the leaves die off and then plant out in spring.

Buyer to collect in Silverfields (JHB), weekends only. Postage R30, South Africa only.
