This Sealers Seal distance is 21 cm Impulse sealers use a short burst of electricity flowing through an specialy designed wire to melt the sides of poly bags or other laminated bags and weld them together. Impulse sealers only generates heat when the jaw are brought into contact with the bag. For impulse sealers, the heating timer must be set to produce a level of heat from the heating element that is sufficient to literally "melt" the bag material. The correct timer setting is critical to the successful operation of any impulse bag sealer.
