THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING PIECE OF THE PAST !! ANTIQUE SCOTTISH HUNTING HORN MADE FROM THE HORN OF A COW, WITH SILVER PLATED DETAIL, THE PLATING HAS WORN SHOWING THE BRASS UNDERNEITH. I BELEIVE THESE HORNS WERE ALSO USED AS DRINKING VESSELS WHEN ON THE MOVE THROUGH THE COUNTRYSIDE. THE CONDITION IS VERY GOOD. LENGTH APPROX 31CM. DIA OF FRONT 9.7CM.
