Condition: overall very good - the grey boards are in very good condition except for dampstain patches affecting the lower corners and fore-margins of the first eighty pages or so; the dust-jacket likewise has been affected, with dampstains on the lower corners. The binding is very firm and the paper quality is of a high standard, with the fore-edge remaining uncut. No other blemishes or inscriptions.

This is, judging by the number line, a fifth impression of the first American edition, sought after by collectors. 

This is the tragic account of Chris McCandless, who left behind all the trappings of his life to venture alone into the wilds of Alaska, with the author publishing many of Chris's personal diary notes in this volume.
