A STUNNING PAINTING BY ONE OF SA's FOREMOST ARTIST

FRAME IS 515 X 260mm - PAINTING IS 385 X 130mm.

Gert Pietersen was born in 1930 on a farm in the Northern Transvaal. Pietersen studied art informally under Professor Mario Scarpa and Mr WH Coetzer. He was still working at the printing press when he got involved with the Johannesburg art society. He painted after hours and exhibited his work at Joubert Park and the Johannesburg Zoo, and was one of the founding members of the “Artists in the Sun” at Joubert Park. Pietersen began painting professionally in 1970
