This AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL Art Work is Framed in Solid Wood and it is VINTAGE

Titled - DOLOBRAN, PARKTOWN

When I researched this Title I was amazed to discover that DOLOBRAN is actually the name of a huge mansion in Parktown JHB which was built ages .... ages ago and still belongs to the original family. 

1905 is the year Dolobran was designed by James Cope Christie (Not the owner at the time but an architect) who designed the home FOR the owner. Today the home belongs to the Great-Great-Great Grandchildren of the original owner.   

I drove off to the adress listed on Google for DOLOBRAN PARKTOWN and found the EXACT location of the Sketch.  The Artist has sketched ONE (the left one) of the two HUGE ornamental Vases that stand beside the Gates of the Entrance to Dolobran on Victoria Street.    This is rather RARE because of ALL the references, photos, art work etc that I could find of DOLOBRAN in PARKTOWN, None are of the Ornamental Vases at the Gate OR the Gate itself.......they are ALWAYS the Mansion or parts of the Outside of the mansion.
