Title lettered in silver gilt on upper cover, very good condition.  Afrikaans text. Chapters by various experts cover all aspects of the monuments history and construction, the most significant being those by the sculptor Gerard Moerdyk.

Moerdyk covers the design and symbolism of the monument and the sculptures and friezes which are individually illustrated.
