History of the Clanwilliam 1820 settlers from Cork Harbour.

Author's copy in which corrections have been made. Marginalia. Pages 81 to 88 has cutout text with corrections. Amendments to the Index at the rear. Destined for settlement on the troublesome eastern frontier of the Cape Colony in 1820, the Irish Parties were separated from the main body of settlers and located at Clanvilliam in the Western Cape. After the collapse of the Clanwilliam settlement some of the settlers formed into new groups and moved to the originally intended destination of Albany. Red tint to top edge.
