Stenocereus dumortieri is a flowering plant in the family Cactaceae that is found in Quertaro, Mexico at elevations of 1800 meters. It grows into a large cactus that forms a huge, candelabra-like crown of robust, sparsely ridged and well armed, bluish green shoots to 15 m tall by branching from a short, massive trunk. It is native to high elevation deserts in central Mexico. In cultivation it is best suited to drier warm temperate climates in USDA Zones 9 to 11.
