The Israel Interim Period stamps of 1948 were issued between May 2 and May 16, 1948, during the transition period before the official declaration of the State of Israel. These stamps were initially provisional labels, primarily KKL (Jewish National Fund) labels, overprinted with the word "Doar" (Hebrew for "Post") to be used for postal services.
