"This helicopter has been developed for the U.S. Army and will eventually - at the beginning of the next century - replace the Kiowa OH-58 and Cobra AH-1. The RAH-66 has a low-visibility fuselage (Stealth concept), which has become more and more important after the experiences of the 1991 Gulf War. The Stealth features have been obtained through flat, angled elusive surface areas, shortened air intakes, inside armament and the use of non-metallic materials.
