ON AUCTION IS AN ITALIAN MADE SILVER METAL CORPUS POPLAR WOOD CROSS CRUCIFIX.
 
THIS BEAUTIFUL HANDMADE WOODEN CRUCIFIX IS CONSTRUCTED FROM SOLID POPLAR WOOD.  THE CROSS IS CONSTRUCTED USING LAP JOINTS AND DOWELS (NO NAILS OR SCREWS).
 
THE BEAUTIFULLY DETAILED ITALIAN-MADE OXIDIZED NON MAGNETIC SILVER METAL CORPUS IS 10CM IN HEIGHT, WHILE THE CROSS IS 20CM IN HEIGHT. THE CRUCIFIX IS TOPPED WITH THE INITIALS INRI PROCLAIMING CHRIST AS THE KING OF THE JEWS (JOHN 19:19).
 
INRI is the Latin abbreviation for lesus Nazerenus, Rex ludaeorum  which translates to Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews. It refers to the inscription placed on the cross during the crucifixion of Jesus, according to the Gospels. This sign, written in three languages (Latin, Greek, and Hebrew), was meant to state the charge against Jesus. 
 
This is a heirloom-quality Crucifix that can be passed down to your great-grandchildren.
