Italian M1891 Terni bayonet - no scabbard

This is an Italian M1891 Terni bayonet without a scabbard - the stalward bayonet that served the Italians for more than 50 years. We cannot make out the maker's marks. Crosspiece inscription 1V 9699.

Some rust near the tip of the blade, plus some indentations on the flat side of the blade (as per the photo). Three notches in the wooden handle. The crosspiece has some movement, so needs to be tightened. The release mechanism spring is tight and works well.
