Offered for sale is a fine and rare Murano clam shaped bowl designed by Seguso and made in Italy circa 1960's. It is a cased glass example in the 'Sommerso' style contrasting a bright tangerine orange exterior with a white aventurine, speckled and nacreous interior. The clam shape body of the bowl has pulled rims and a double faceted base which allows the bowl to be displayed on its side or vertically. The Millers UK price guide for 2014-2015 illustrates a similar example with a recommended listing price of 400-600 pounds ie 7200 upwards.
