ERNIE TRUTER Original

Another Unbelievable Bargain on the R1 N/R Auctions! On offer this magnificent original Oil by South African artist Ernie Truter. Though information on this artist is sketchy on the internet, Truter has been painting and exhibiting for years, I have one of his paintings which was bought from him in 1976 at Zoo Lake. Depicting fisherman cottages and an ominous sky, he used vibrant colours and this is truly an eye-catching painting that makes a wonderful impression. It is a large painting, measuring 98x67cm (with frame) and 74x49cm (painting only). Dust has settled on this painting over the years, and it needs a good clean. There are also a couple of dirt spots which will most probably be removed with a good clean (see last pic), though this does not detract from this magnificent work of art.
