This exceptionally rare antique (c1820 to 1850) original "Jules Rolez limited" of France black marble mantle clock is a truly amazing find. The mantle clock is in incredible condition for its age and has just been service. The casing and enamel clock face are in stunning condition (a few small chips in the marble - see pics) and the original key is still with the clock. The amazing detailing on the columns and on the brass embellishments are beautiful. The clock has incredible weight to it and is one of those "wow" pieces. I can only find a handful of these clocks on the internet and one gent (see link) confirms that he had his clock valued in the 1980's at $ 25 000.00. The clock is 340mm high x 397mm long x 193mm wide. This is a serious clock for a serious collector!!!
