The InsuJet is a device that can be used to administer insulin without a needle. This is done by pressurizing the liquid through a small orifice, which creates a high speed jet that can penetrate the skin and underlying tissue. The pressure is generated by a spring, which is optimized for subcutaneous insulin delivery. Combined with a unique automatic injection system, this results in virtually painless insulin administration.
The InsuJet™ is designed with an unique safety system that allows administration only to take place at a safe pressure point of the device on the skin. This system prevents wet injections to occur and makes the InsuJet an accurate system to use.
