Captain Chris Schulemberg : A legend of the Rhodesian Bush War. The creator or " Father " of the highly successful small team concept who served in the elite forces of the Rhodesian SAS, Selous Scouts and in the South frican Special Forces( Recces) As a Selous Scout he conducted solo Recce missions of terrorist training camps deep in enemy territory. He would later be the first recipient of the Grand cross of Valour. Rhodesia's highest Military decoration, awarded for conspicious valour by members of the Security Forces in Combat, only 2 of these awards were ever issued.
The late Major Neil Kriel ( Operational Commander of Recce Troop in the Selous Scouts ) RIP - During his service in the Selous Scouts Major Neil recieved the officer of the Legion of Merit (OLM) award. He held the position of Group Commander since 1974.
