Seven pages of St. Clair’s WWI service have been copied from the archives and form part of this sale (one page in images). He was with the South African Expeditionary Force sent to German East Africa in 1916.   He became ill with sceptic sores at Dakawa, was sent home and discharged. He was awarded the Silver War Badge. He re-attested in 1917, was sent to France and promoted to acting sergeant.  He was discharged again at the end of 1917 as being permanently unfit.

International buyers please contact me.  Shipping by the South African Post Office is no longer possible. Alternative methods are available but these are either expensive or will take a long time.
