This item is secondhand and in overall good vintage condition. I am not an expert in this area, but according to my research this is a Union of South Africa R1 Rifle Bayonet. This bayonet fits a South African FN (Fabrique Nationale) FAL (Fusil Automatique Legere) commonly known as the R1 Battle Rifle. It has the markings M within U for Union of South Africa Military and carries the serial number 188303. It comes complete with metal scabbard and web frog. The bayonet measures 32 cm long with scabbard on, 28,5 cm with scabbard off and the blade measures approximately 16 cm in length. Please view images as part of description. Welcome to combine items.
