A COLOURFUL HAND PAINTED STONEWARE JUG. MADE BY PURBECK POTTERY IN ENGLAND. THE DESIGN WAS MADE BY ZDENKA RALPH (ALSO WORKED AT THE POOLE POTTERY BEFORE JOINING PURBECK). IT HAS A HANDPAINTED FARM LAND SCENE WITH A BIG BLACK ROOSTER IN FOREGROUND.

PURBECK POTTERY (1966-2006):
Purbeck Pottery origins can be traced back to 1966 when it began to produce stoneware pottery from it's original factory located in Westbourne, Dorset.  Robert Jefferson, a designer who previously worked for  produced patterns for many years before Philip Barnes joined the business in 1973. In 1996 the factory moved to Hamworthy in Poole. Purbeck closed down in 2006.
