This is a beautifully worked original watercolor signed and dated 1956. The subject is a South African scene of horses in Caledon, Western Cape. The artist's most valued works are horse scenes such as this one. On the back is written: HOME - WARD CALEDON and her address in Somerset West

It is dated 1956 and is signed by Ivanonia Roworth, a professional South African painting of considerable standing,  and is an excellent investment. Ivanonia Roworth ( now Mrs. Keet)  is the daughter of Edward Roworth, one of South Africa's old masters.

Dimensions of the painting are 40.5 cm by 22  cm.

Ivanonia's  works have achieved some notable successes at auction. In the 17 September 1999 sale at Christies in London one of her works fetched a price of 2875 pounds, which is about R32 500.  It was also of a group of horses, as is this one.

Secure packaging and tracked postage is only R70 by post and 150 Rand by Courier Service anywhere in Southern Africa (major destinations).
