This is the recently released Unaged Rye Whisky.It is from Batch No 001 of the Distillers run and has been bottled at 40% alc(80 proof).These bottles are already highly collectible and are already very difficult to get.They were only released in the USA.
Rye has always been part of Jack Daniels Old No 7 grain bill,but it has never been the lead grain until now.This is Master Distiller Jeff Arnett exploration into the intriguing flavours drawn from premium rye.Only a limited number of bottles were available for sale so that the majority of the new rye could mature in the barrelhouse for a future release.This unaged rye offers a spicy,surprisingly sweet character.
