Wetting agents are used in conjunction with most foliar feeds as well as to help prevent the spread of fungi. They are effective in their control over common garden pests. The emulsion coats the leaves and "suffocates" any existing pathogens or pests.
This soft soap product is natural and biodegradable, containing fatty acids made up of potassium salts. Made by converting oils, in this case canola oil into a soap and adding potassium Hydroxide (KOH).
The use and production of soft soaps is no new science. The process is simple and environmentally friendly. The emulsions is effective against pests and fungi. Microbs can easily turn these soaps into nutrients for your plants too so a soil drench should not effect your plants health.
Soft soap emulsions penetrate the exoskeleton of pests, due to this, they causes disruptions within the cellular membranes fatty acids reducing their function, dehydrating the cells and resulting in death of pests.
JADAM Wetting Agent is reportedly effective against aphids, mealybugs, mites, leafhopper, scale insects, caterpillars, thrips, whitefly, powdery mildew and most other common pests and fungi.
Caution: Most foliar applications should be applied in the cooler parts of the day to reduce chances of burning the leaves.
Caution: Avoid use on seedlings and newly transplanted clones or plants or delicate house plants or flowers.
Test the product with a small application first, in order to test plant sensitivity.
