Delicious and slinky Autoart model of the 1953 Le Mans winning Jaguar C-Type.
Developed from the road-going Jaguar XK120, the Jaguar C-Type won Le Mans twice in 1951 and 1953 when they won, came second and fourth. The 1953 C-Type was also the first Le Mans car to win at over 100mph average and to be fitted with disc brakes.
Being such a successful and iconic car, the C-Type has spawned many road-going replicas available even today.
The C-Type was succeeded by the classic Jaguar D-Type which used many mechanical components from the C-Type differing mainly in having a monocoque chassis and improved aerodynamics.
This Autoart model is one of the best of the C-Type and has a beautifully detailed engine and cockpit. It also shows off the swooping beauty of the bodywork extremely well.
An essential addition to any Jaguar or Le Mans collection (or as a desktop display)
In very good condition and supplied in its own original box in fine condition.
From my private collection.
