James Dean

This Athena "Stars of the Silver Screen" pictures features a classic black-and-white portrait of James Dean.  The picture is not in mint condition and have some age-related wear.  The wood also looks swollen on the one side. The setting:  Iconic black-and-white photo was taken in 1955 while filming location scenes in Marfa, Texas. James Dean is pictured in his costume as the character Jett Rink, leaning against a classic car with a cigarette in his mouth.  Significance: This was the last role Dean ever played; he tragically passed away in a car crash in September 1955 before the movie was fully completed and released.
