Perhaps being in another universe explains why Janet appears particularly distant from her audience, with very little interaction going on between her and the crowd. The age-old question is she or isnât she singing live also seems particularly relevant for this show. You decide. With tracks included from all her solo albums, this concert provides a pleasurable voyage through her greatest hits
On the DVD: Live in Hawaii presents colourful and glossy footage restricted to standard 4:3 format. The sound track, though, is offered in three different formats (Dolby Digital Stereo; Dolby Digital 4.1 and DTS). On top of the attractive menus, thereâs a ten-minute interview with Janet, a three-minute photo gallery of shots from her concert programme, and a bizarre compilation of Miss Jackson performing "Would You Mind" at different concert venues

Live In Hawaii [DVD] [2008] (DVD)
Like many european fans, i missed the 'All For You' tour due to cancellations, so i was very pleased when i learnt it would be released on dvd.
For those Janet fans who wondered if she could top the 'Velvet Rope Tour'...she can and she did!!!
This concert is much more upbeat and funky than the dark and moody (but still excellent) VR show, It kicks of with Come On Get Up, You Ain't Right and All For You (all from the All For You album)which is an energetic and amazing start to the show. The choreography is original and stunning and Janet looks amazing.
The highlights include special guest Missy Elliott appearing on stage for the deep down and funky Son Of A Gun, the shock of Would You Mind, and the revamped Control Medley.
Janet IS live throughout, finally shutting up her critics, her dancing is excellent and the backstage footage is actually a great special feature which makes this dvd superior to other music artists releases who onlygive you galleries and lyrics!
Janet is known for setting precedent with her stage shows as is her brother Michael, it seems no one comes close.
