Acer palmatum atropurpureum 'bloodgood' or Japanese Maple 'bloodgood' is Japanese Maple that has brilliant dark bronze-red leaves in the spring followed by exotic red foilage throughout the summer and a blaze of crimson-orange in the fall. It holds it's color, never to turn green. Leaves reduce well, making this maple a fantastic bonsai subject or great specimen for landscaping. Seed requires pre-treatment of soaking in warm water for 24 hours prior to 60-90 days cold-moist stratification. But not to worry, as we will guide you through this process.
