Vintage Japanese Porcelain Whistling Sake Decanter with Moriage Nightingale & Dragon
Condition - preowned. The one bowl has 2 small superficial chips on the outer rim (hygienically still viable). The pitcher is also unique in that it whistles a very distinctive audible sound as you pour it's contents out as well as when you pour hot sake into the bottle the nightingale on the top whistles as the steam from the sake makes its way out at the side of the bird.
The colours are all still vibrant. Dimensions ( Approx): Decanter: 130 mm, to spout top 147 mm, base diameter 50 mm. Bowls: Height 30 mm X diameter rim 50 mm Collective weight 376 g
