Injection-molded polypropylene cone

The polypropylene woofer cone in Stage2 speakers is engineered for superior rigidity and sensitivity. The result is increased low-frequency output and richer, more robust musical character.

External Crossover Housing (Stage2 604C only)

The Stage2 component systems feature external crossover housings, which provide space for sophisticated circuits and advanced tweeter protection.

Competitively Tuned

For most brands, off-the-shelf speakers and a cursory approval of frequency response curves are good enough. That's not the case with JBL. Rigid Reliability Testing

JBL Stage2 speakers have to go through environmental testing that would destroy other speakers. JBL freezes them, bakes them, shakes them, blasts them with ultraviolet light and drives them at full power for days at a time.
